In Arizona, the Board of Technical Registration regulates the practice of home inspectors and by law requires certification of all home inspectors who provide services in the state. The certification process can take up to three months and requires at least 80 hours of accredited education, the passing of the National Home Inspector Examination, evidence of 30 parallel inspections*, submission of a completed inspection report, application fees, and proof of insurance or bonding.
